So you’re ready to book an acupuncture appointment, but don’t really know what the heck is going to happen. Let me walk you through what you can expect when you enter Honey Bee Acupuncture.

New patient appointments are 60 minutes long.

Before the treatment

  • Full Health History

  • Go Over Chief Complaint

  • Talk About Your Goals

  • Answer Any Questions You May Have

During the Treatment

  • Take Vitals

  • Look at the Tongue

  • Check the Pulse

  • Insert Needles

  • Let You Rest (for at least 15 minutes)

  • Cupping (if appropriate and if time allows)

After the Treatment

  • Discuss Herbs (if wanted)

  • Talk About Lifestyle Recommendations (mindfulness exercises, stretching, foods, etc)

  • Go Over Treatment Plan (15% discount when treatment plan is paid in full)

  • Reschedule

Follow up appointments are 40-60 minutes long. Here you can expect

  • A brief check-in on any changes since the last treatment.

  • Changes to treatment plan or herbal formulas.

  • The acupuncture treatment. Cupping and e-stim may be used at follow up appointments if appropriate for treatment.

  • Time to answer any questions.

Preparing for your appointment.

  • Fill out paperwork that was sent to your email.

  • Set aside time before and after your appointment.

  • Bring in current list of medications and supplements.

  • Wear loose fitting clothing.

  • Eat a light meal or snack prior to your appointment.
